MORE THAN A WORKOUT

Photoshoot Goal:

Create high quality and storytelling visual imagery to aid in positioning Harmony Yoga & Fitness as the clear choice for Spring, Texas residents who want to prioritize movement as a holistic approach to health & wellness, stress management, and yoga/barre classes for the 77386 community.

Step 1

The objectives

Professional portrait of someone wearing a white button-down shirt and blue pants seated in a yellow accent chair by bookshelves.

Look the part

Owner Sabrina recently celebrated 19 years as a yoga instructor. She opened Harmony Yoga & Fitness in the Harmony / Benders Landing area of Spring, Texas in early 2025. She had been utilizing a mix of iPhone images and stock photos on her website and realized that these didn't adequately communicate her professionalism and the vibe of the community she was building.

Group exercise class participants using small exercise balls while practicing ballet-inspired barre movements in studio.

Holistic health

At Harmony Yoga & Fitness, movement is more than a workout; it is an integral part of a holistic approach to health & wellness. They want clients to feel supported to build healthy habits and see results in their physical and mental wellbeing.

Ease marketing strain

When finding the right imagery became a strain, Sabrina booked a Discovery Call to see if a commercial photoshoot could offer the benefits they were looking for in their business. (Spoiler alert: The answer was a definite yes!!!)

Step 2

The planning process

We determined that "prioritizing mental health" was going to be a major emphasis of this photoshoot so we opted for a number of solo shots in addition to group class images.

Most commercial photoshoots require a site visit and this was no exception; Sabrina warned me that a previous photographer had difficulty in her space because of the black ceiling, mirrored walls, and lack of windows. I made two site visits (one to evaluate the space and one to test run the lighting setup) before photoshoot day.

Site visits and multiple planning calls / emails are especially helpful to ensure everyone's time is honored when multiple models will be involved!
