Meet Laura

We've all heard that a picture is worth 1,000 words. My job is to ask, "What do you want to say?" Then plan the images to say just that. I am first and foremost a writer. Visual storytelling is such an amazing challenge that makes my invention / discernment mind happy (any other "Working Genius" fans out there)? I'm an old soul when it comes to photography. My love of painting with light came to life in an Austin TX darkroom in 2006. That "required" art credit for my degree program was a blessing in disguise.

I used to apologize for being a jack of all trades but now it's the super power I bring to the small businesses, entrepreneurs, and personal brands I get to work with every week. From hobbyist photographer (c. 2006) + managing communications for nonprofits (c. 2010) + commercial copywriting (c. 2018) + starting my own business (c. 2021)... it all comes into play so I can help you make communication SIMPLE.

My husband, Mark, and I have lived in Spring for about 5 years now. We have two boys and a baby girl. I'm a full time mama, part time Director of Christian Education at Lazarus Church in Spring and owner of Simple Vintage LLC.
