Is it just me...

or does anybody else feel like this summer was a sucker punch? I'm normally pretty "with it" but ever since hurricane Beryl, I couldn't seem to get back into my normal rhythm. I've been (jokingly or not) calling this summer "lame summer" 馃 And I'm ready to have a MUCH better fall! Speaking of rhythm, I'm about to flip the switch to portrait mode over here 馃巸馃崅馃崄馃巹

I posted a poll on instagram

which overwhelming showed that y'all want "outdoorsy" fall minis... so classic! If you prefer a full session (family, grads, milestone, smash cake, etc.) instead of a mini, you will need to get on my calendar ASAP.


I don't believe anyone should have to wait 6-8 weeks to receive their portraits which is why I am committed to closing my books as soon as I have hit capacity for a given month. (And I do expect to book out in October & November.)


For my portrait & brand clients: Remember that your session is NOT confirmed until you complete your booking (contract + deposit). If you inquire about a date, I offer a courtesy hold for 24 hours after sending the booking link but after that, it's fair game!


For my brand photography clients: Now is the time to book for November / December! And business owners, don't forget that brand photography is a business write-off.

Saturday, September 28 - morning

  • 15 minutes - 5 images with upgrade option - $175
  • Spring, TX
  • Pets not allowed.
  • Details: These will be held at my membership studio, The Creative Photographer. Because these will be held in the morning, they are ideal for families with very young children (trust me - littles always do better for morning portraits)!

Big oak minis

Sunday, September 29 - evening

  • 15 minutes - 5 images with upgrade option - $175
  • Spring, TX
  • Pets allowed on leash (pet fee applies).
  • Details: These will be held at a tucked-away wedding venue with a gorgeous mature oak tree. There will be an air-conditioned waiting room with a restroom onsite. You will want to arrive 15 minutes before your session start time for this one.

P.S. I'm including a full gallery from this location since it's a new spot! These were taken in August but I expect the grass to remain green like this for another month since it is at a well-maintained wedding venue.

Sunday, October 27 - afternoon

  • 15 minutes - 5 images with upgrade option - $175
  • Conroe, TX
  • Pets allowed on leash (pet fee applies).
  • Details: These will be held at my tried-and-true spot within the W.G. Jones State Forest. There is a restroom onsite but it is almost always locked.
