Why does the right studio matter for headshots and brand photography?
Photographers and hobbyists today can do a lot with editing software and AI. That said, no amount of post-production effort will successfully overcome bad lighting. Why? Because photography at its core is "painting with light."
Different types of lighting produce different types of looks. If a client has a bright and light personal brand, I'm going to make a studio selection that offers abundant windows and light colored backdrop options. If a client needs a cozy or edgy vibe, I'm going to select a location that offers darker backdrop options, controlled natural light, and bring in studio lights to fit the mood.

What is the overall look and feel of this studio?
The studio is easy to access from the Hardy Toll Road, Grand Parkway, or I-45. It is situated immediately off of Rayford road and with ample parking. The entrance opens up to a large space with clothes rack for wardrobe changes and a private restroom & changing room. The space is elegant, clean, and very comfortable.
What kind of brand photos work especially well here?
The Creative Photographer studio is the starting point for 75% of my brand clients so that we can begin with professional headshots against the seamless paper and with studio lights then gradually go more "comfortable" in our looks as the photoshoot goes on. I love to pull in my client's props as well as those provided by the studio (including unique furniture, faux plants, side tables, etc.) I particularly love staging "client meetings" or coffee shop scenes at this studio.
Makai Creative Studio

What types of businesses and professionals is this studio best for?
Makai is a Spring, TX home that was transformed into a photography studio and AirBnb. While bedrooms each resemble a typical studio space, the living room and kitchen area have been retained for lifestyle brand photography purposes. Makai is excellent for the business looking for a "home" vibe while still having access to typical brand photography props, seamless backdrop paper, and clean lines.
What is the overall look and feel of this studio?
Located a little off the beaten path, Makai is cozy and situated in a neighborhood in north Spring / south Conroe. It has paved parking for up to 4 vehicles and overflow parking in the yard for many more. The home studio is cozy without feeling cluttered. Neutral decor and accents lend well to most personal brands.
What kind of brand photos work especially well here?
I love Makai for lifestyle personal brands and "warmer" business vibes. This is an excellent choice for therapists, photographers, stylists, home designers, professional organizers, etc.
Suisse Studio
Spring Texas Headshot & Brand Photography Studio
Suisse Studio is a modern Houston rental studio designed by talented Houston wedding photographer Jen Jetzer. The first iteration of this studio was an all-white space with seamless paper, props, and unique furnishings available.
As of this publication, Jen has announced a new iteration is coming in March 2026 that offers a more intimate vibe and -- I'm excited about this! -- better light control for photoshoots.
