If you've been to the studio

then you know the big secret... it's HUGE. The Creative Photographer isn't my personal studio, rather it's a membership studio. It's much larger than any individual photographer could own on his or her own. And the best part? When I reserve the studio for your session, we'll have the whole place to ourselves.

To avoid the overwhelm on session day,

I typically like us to make our set selections in advance. A good rule of thumb is that we'll have time for 1 set change for every 30 minutes we're in the studio (plus one extra in case all the stars align). Are you ready to take a look? Here are some of my favorites!

Seamless paper

Versatile and classic.

Perfect for adding props.


The studio offers 6 paper colors (some options rotate in and out based on the season). These are perfect for everything from creating timeless portraits to serving as the backdrop for dressed-up sets. Some props are at available at the studio - for example, chairs & cake stands - but I think the real magic happens when my families bring meaningful items from home to incorporate into the set.

Wainscoting wall

Classic & versatile


The wainscoting wall is available most of the year (this is where the Christmas set goes up for promo week in July and again in October through December). I highly recommend this set on rainy days as it is unaffected by natural light and looks just as great on rainy days as sunny days thanks to studio flash!

Greenhouse

earthy charm for families & milestones


The greenhouse is perfect for a bit of an earthy look during those seasons in Houston when you don't really want to be taking portraits outside! Raw concrete floors, shiplap or painted brick backdrop, and potted plants frame this space and make it a great fit for family portraits, milestones, and newborn sessions.

CHANDELIER ROOM

timeless elegance for portraits


Large windows and an oversized chandelier give this space its light and bright appeal. This is one of my favorite spaces in the studio for family portraits because the space is just interesting enough without being distracting from the subject... you and your loved ones!
